Lift Off!

Three, two, one…yikes, this is it, we’re live!  Where the heck do I start?

I’ve been thinking about getting a photography website for a couple of years now, ever since the first few people messaged my Instagram to ask if they could buy landscape prints.  To be perfectly honest I’d never planned to sell them, but, since people were asking, it seemed rude (and a bit daft) not to.

Anyway, I reckoned a website would be a good idea.  Problem was, as anyone who’s ever met me will testify, things don’t happen fast in my world, especially not technical things. It wasn’t just a natural inertia getting in the way, made worse by my amazing powers of procrastination and farcical fear of all things IT.  I’ve also been quite busy.  I’ve had a crust to earn through my bread-and-butter freelance copywriting, not to mention a hectic family life to enjoy. I also need time for hitting the hills and actually taking some photos in the first place.

Long story short, the website wasn’t happening.  In the end I asked Ffion Atkinson for help: she built my copywriting website and I’ve worked with her on branding projects over the years.  I guessed she’d be great to work with again for this site – and she was.

So, here goes.  I hope you like the website and the shots I’ve chosen to include on it.  I’ve promised myself I’ll update this blog at least once every month, probably with stuff about locations, landscapes and learning the ropes of outdoor photography.  I’m guessing that mostly it’ll be random ramblings about discoveries I’ve made, which in other words probably just means things I’ve done wrong.  No shortage of material, then.

Thanks for getting this far. Let’s see how things go.
